Searching the Internet
Many search engines use the same technique to search for any information. Popular sites that are used are Bing, Ask.com, Altavista, Yahoo, and Dogpile. Bing is powered by Microsoft and has accurate speed like other search engines. Ask.com is powered by Dogpile and has the option to view as images, sites, and etc. Altavista give accurate information in different languages for translation or if you live in a different country. Yahoo is powered by Dogpile and also gives the option to search as site, images, videos, and etc. Lastly, Dogpile combines with Google, Bing, yahoo, and ask.com. Although each site produces the same information layouts, they receive different and same information. Another website to use for searching on the internet is Google Scholar which is published and written by educational people and powered by Google. To be aware of what you are doing, using, saying, and etc. on the internet, a good way to check yourself for safety and proper technique is to use the Detective.
Advance Searches
The advance search narrows down and gets to the point of what you want to search by specifying particular words you want included and the format of the document. The advanced search can be found on Google and no other searching sight. An example of a advanced search would be about competitive cheer leading. You would list details of what you want to look up either it is for an images, video, blog, or website. You can also put in what type of team you are looking for such as Top Gun, Odyssey, World Cup All Stars, or Premier All Stars. The information you fill in will come up with various results. By checking out the results, you can get the answer and information that you've looked up.
